Hi, I'm Yuan.
I am a licensed English-speaking tour guide based in Beijing, with three years of full-time experience leading travelers through some of the city’s most well-known cultural and historical sites. During this time, I have had the opportunity to work with visitors from many different countries, which has helped me develop the ability to design complete travel itineraries and tailor my guiding style to suit a wide range of interests and expectations.
My passion for traditional Chinese culture is what first drew me to this profession. I enjoy sharing not only the historical background of landmarks, but also the everyday cultural details that make each place feel alive. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking and cooking, and these interests often become a natural way to connect with travelers. Whether it is discussing local food traditions or recommending scenic walking routes, I try to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere throughout the journey.
Safety and flexibility are also important parts of my work. I hold an outdoor instructor certificate from the China Mountaineering Association as well as a first-aid qualification from the Beijing Red Cross. These experiences have prepared me to handle minor emergencies and ensure that each trip runs smoothly and safely, even when unexpected situations arise.

Before becoming a tour guide, I spent four years studying in New Zealand. This experience gave me a deeper understanding of different cultures and travel habits, allowing me to better communicate with international visitors and anticipate their needs. In addition, my previous work in marketing for global brands such as Nestlé, Mars, and Yili helped me develop strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a service-oriented mindset.
I believe that a meaningful journey is built on trust, understanding, and genuine human connection. My goal is to make each trip not only well-organized, but also enjoyable and memorable, so that every traveler leaves with a deeper appreciation of Beijing and its culture.
